Dallas

We made it to Dallas hauling the trailer with no problems.  We got to the location of my friends daughters townhouse and unloaded.  She has a three story townhouse and we had to get the furniture to the second floor–up very steep steps. I will take pictures tonight and post later.  It was not easy, and we didn’t even attempt the second piece.  We finally made it to our room and ate cheese, salami and olives and went to bed.

This morning we dumped the trailer and headed to the Dallas Botanical Gardens. We could not have gotten here at a better time.  Dallas Blooms starts tomorrow, so we hit it perfectly.  The bulbs were impressive, with the highly scented hyacinths, daffodils and tulips.  The poppies, dianthus, pansies, and redbuds were also in bloom.  The flowering kale, cabbage, Swiss chard, and cardoon were added foliage.  There is so much to see at the arboretum.  We need to make plans to come back sometime between May and October because Chihuly will have an exhibit.  Afterwards we went to lunch then on to Ikea.  What a trip.  It is a huge store with so much to see.  There is so much traffic here in Dallas, but we have managed well.

Tomorrow I get to see my sister and go to the Farmers Market.  Then we will head back home. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
