Merry Christmas

It is Christmas Eve, and I think I have finally run all the errands and done all the shopping. I have been off for most of a week, and while I always have great plans to accomplish tasks around the yard and home, I am too busy shopping, wrapping, cooking, preparing for and hosting events to get anything else done. We had our annual holiday party Friday night and had a houseful. Great fun with wonderful friends. Then after I got the house put back together on Saturday, I decided I needed to do a bit more shopping–what was I thinking?! It was a zoo with people everywhere. In the midst of the chaos we passed a busy intersection in west Little Rock, where a painter was set up with his easel painting pictures. He had already painted Elvis and the Beatles and was in the midst of painting Santa Claus. We ran into folks we knew at every store, and we all had the same sentiment-we were nuts to be out shopping. It was dark before we made it home and unloaded. Then yesterday we had Clay’s family party. Everyone is now spread out around the state, so we only get together a couple of times a year. One cousin has several children, and the youngest took my camera and took pictures all over the house. Everywhere there were decorations, she got a shot–so I have great inventory for insurance now! She made a great photo history of our event, getting shots of people coming and going. I need to hire her when I have a party.
Tonight we have our traditional Christmas Eve events, then it is Christmas Day. More time with family. I hope you all are having as wonderful a holiday season as I am, and that you have great joy this holiday season. Happy Holidays to all!

Hope you guys have merry, merry Christmas… Tommy and Shella hagan
