Today was my early morning spot on Channel 7 daybreak and it was a bit nippy as we left home. It turned into a glorious day, but we were inside for most of it. The October County 76 meeting was today at the office and folks came from all over the state. We had elections and new officers take over in January. John Richardson is now our President, Jane Burrows VP, Judy Woodard Treasurer, Bren Coop Assistant Treasurer, Barbie Luther Secretary and Linda Soffer Project Leader. Mimi Cox will be on the board as Past President. Mimi has been battling her asthma ever since the cruise, and today took a downward turn. She was really struggling for breath, but didn’t stop–she continued to lead the meeting.
By lunchtime it was getting bad so the paramedics came and she ended up headed to St. Vincents. They have her admitted overnight to monitor her and she was much better by the time we left this evening. She is in good spirits and breathing much more comfortably. I will keep you all posted.
The rest of County 76 was uneventful, except a lot of work was done. We are restructuring some of the projects, setting new goals and will have all in place by our January meeting. Stay tuned to upcoming events! We also encourage you to come join us.
