Today was day one of our annual MG leadership conference, this one held in Little Rock, at the Airport Holiday Inn.  It was a great start.  We had 31 in an optional morning grant writing png leadership 201403workshop.  png leadership 201407 png leadership 201406

Then we started with the full session this afternoon starting off with a powerpoint on County 76 program and the keynote address by Dr. Charles Saulsbery talked on Plant Nurture Grow in leadership terms. It was an excellent address. png leadership 201412

Then the afternoon was devoted to breakout sessions on money management by me, parliamentary procedure, pinterest, and conducting effective meetings.

Tonight’s keynote address was First Lady Ginger Beebe on volunteering at the Governors Mansion.  We are lucky to have a MG as a first lady, and soon she will have more time to devote to the MG program.png leadership 201417

She did a wonderful job.  Then we had a lively game of gardening catch phrase in the atrium, with two winning teams.png leadership 201425 png leadership 201428

We have 173 Master Gardeners and County Agents from 36 counties, with Garland county having the largest contingency of 14.  png leadership 201422More to come tomorrow.
