Last day

we have had a glorious weather day for our last day in Paris. We had a morning tour to Versaille. Although crowded, it wasn’t bad. We entered and had spent maybe 15 minutes on the tour when they evacuated the building. We learned later that it was a fire alarm. With an abbreviated tour, 8 of us rented two golf carts and did the grand tour. Not much flower color, but fabulous sweeping vistas, tons of hedges and shaped shrubbery along with many huge fountains. Unfortunately the fountains only work on the weekends due to an old system, which they think can’t handle a 7 day schedule. Time passed quickly and before we knew it we headed to the bus. We leave in a few minutes now for Montmarte, Sacre Couer and an illumintion tour. We are due back at 11:30 pm and 15 of us have to be downstairs at 4:45 am for the shuttle to the airport. Home tomorrow at 3:15 pm!

It has been a wonderful trip, except for problems with wordpress, the internet and uploading photos. I have posted plenty on facebook, but will do more this weekend when home.
