We are home!

May 23, 2015

Flying today was a breeze. Our flights were on time and comfortable and customs has changed dramatically in Atlanta. No more forms to fill out on the planes, nor long lines to wait in. You come in and go to one of many kiosks, scan your passport, answer questions on line, and voila, you are through customs in 15 minutes or less! What a transformation. It took us longer to wait on our luggage than to go through customs lines. They also had many staff stationed throughout to help and they were so friendly. It was a great flying experience. The 15 of us that were on the 8:30 flight had very little sleep, but it made sleeping on the ride home, so much easier. Maybe we need to do this all the time. I have made it home and hope by now the majority of the travelers that were heading home today are now home, as we had numerous flights leaving Paris this morning, starting with our 5 a.m. departure up to I believe about 11 a.m.

I have reconnected with the dogs, unpacked, walked the gardens and am finishing up the second load of laundry. I am fading fast but hope to make it at least until 9 p.m.! I will work on pictures and see what we can upload tomorrow. I am getting the same message about photo storage even on this computer, so time will tell.

It is good to be home, but it was an amazing trip!
