A very full day

Garage sales are not my favorite thing, but we had a wonderful one today selling a lot of my parents things to people we hope will enjoy them as much as they did. It was a productive day and everyone pitched in to make it happen. We were thankful that the rain held out until mid afternoon. By then, I was in Conway helping with Saturday MG training, which also went extremely well. We have almost 60 attendees from 10 counties and a great mix of people. sat mg training jun13 (3)

This year our classes are at Grace United Methodist Church in Conway and they have been so accommodating. Today there were lectures on plant pathology, soils, botany, composting and invasive plants. I was great to watch them using their keys to try to identify plants and parts of the flower. sat mg training jun13 (11)

Each week a different group will host, and today Faulkner County set the bar high with great food and support. sat mg training jun13 (7)

At the end of the day I asked if folks could help us take down tables and chairs IF they had time, and it was torn down in record time. A wonderful group of volunteers!!

Then tonight, the whole family gathered together to honor the memory of our parents as we get ready to sell our family home. We can thank our fabulous Uncle Mel for helping out with this dinner to honor our parents. There are people you will run across in life that are selfless and just want to be nice, and he is one of those special people. We were blessed to have special parents and supportive relatives our entire lives. Since my son was working, we let him work for us and cook our meal at Acadia where he is the sous chef. We had an amazing meal. Our parents instilled in us the value of family, so it is fitting that we celebrated together to honor them! acadia dinner june 13 (1)
