Rain, planning and more rain

We awoke to rain and will go to sleep with more rain. Rain is predicted for the next two days as well. Flash flood warnings were out for this evening. From feast to famine is what this season seems to be about.

I started my day with a zoom session–an online meeting with all the staff chairs across Arkansas with the executive team. zoom session.15
From there it was playing catch-up with Holly and Julie and coming up with a game plan for the rest of the year. Then it was off to the Heifer International Headquarters in downtown LR to meet with a committee planning the special event for the 2017 MG Conference. It will be held at Heifer and it is going to be a fabulous event. We met with their chef and event planner. heifer planning.nov (3) We have the date secured and then we went and toured the various facilities. heifer planning.nov (6)

The Pulaski County Master Gardeners have recently started one of their sanctioned projects here as well. It looked great, with outstanding signage to explain what was growing. mg project heifer.nov15 (1)

The gardens out front were putting on a fall show with bright yellow gingkos. gingko heifer nov (3)

Then it was back to the office. Our IT guru Andy reloaded my photo editing software back onto my home computer via distance technology, so I am back in business with photos. Thank you Andy.

Tomorrow I head north to Carroll County for our final planning session of 2015, for the 2016 MG conference.

Yesterday I got some photos of work done by Pulaski County MGs at War Memorial Park. war memorial planting.nov15 In addition to winter annuals they planted tulips. This morning there was a picture of one of them planting, but the garden hat obscured the gardener–sort of like “who is behind those Foster Grants”. We like the publicity for MG!
