A busy Monday

More gorgeous weather today, with even warmer temps predicted tomorrow. The sun coming in makes the holiday decorations shine even without lights in the morning. christmas with sun.dec7.151

I got to the office and started in on columns before heading down to our annual state faculty conference. Once a year state staff gets together for updates state conf 2.15

state conference dec.15and awards program including length of service awards. Julie and I both received length of service awards, albeit a tad different in length! Julie got her 10 year certificate julie treat 10 year.and I got my 35! 35 year pin.

We then had our third interview for the new horticulture specialist position. candidate3.15

jim and buff They are all broadcast live via zoom, and recorded. We have some excellent candidates and I can’t wait to have more help! I will keep you posted.

Then tonight I went to the Saline County library for their monthly horticulture program that the MGs organize, which is open to the public. As a thank you gift, Jean Ann gave me a collection of adult coloring books! I had never heard of such a thing, but they are gardening scenes, cooking, etc with adults, not children in mind. It is supposed to help occupy your free time. Hmmm! Free time! I can’t wait to get started. adult coloring books.151
