Water Levels

Watching the news, reading the paper and looking online, we continue to see the water levels and the devastating flooding across Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas and into Tennessee and other southern states. The pictures from two rivers park in west LR are amazing. two rivers park but today when I had some errands to run, I decided to go look for myself, and there were a lot of folks out and about. Rebsamen Park Road is closed at the entrance to the park on towards the dam and the golf course has a lot of water. arkansas river.jan (4)

arkansas river.jan (6) We drove down to Witt Stephens Nature Center and the water was moving fast and high. arkansas river.jan (7)

arkansas river.jan (9) We looked at the MG project there and were amazed at the purple coneflowers and gaillardia in bloom. gaillardia jan2.15 Driving home I saw petunias in full bloom. While it is finally cold outside, a hard killing frost has yet to occur at least in Little Rock.
Weird weather!
