Seattle, day 2

March 4, 2016
by

Hopefully my typing will be better today. Yesterday the keypad to my ipad somehow moved up over the screen and I had to type blind, so sorry for the typos. We awoke to a gorgeous view outside our hotel room window.

Seattle is two hours earlier than Little Rock, but our internal clock was still on LR time, so we were up by 5 am. We lazed about the room for awhile before heading out to explore and eat breakfast. As we walked up to 1st street we came across a great community garden.

There are some steep roads and drainage to deal with but we saw some unique solutions.

We also saw some unique containers as we explored downtown.

All that plus a great breakfast and we were done by 9!

Our next stop was the Washinton Park Arboretum which I will put in a separate post, so it doesn’t get too long.

I LOVE THIS!!!THE COMMUNITY GARDEN ALONG WITH THE ART-WORK COMBINING PLANTS WITH THE ART PIECES IS VERY INGENIOUS IN MY OPINION. THE RAIN BARREL AND THE CONTAINERS USING COMMON, EVERYDAY THINGS IS RIGHT
DOWN MY ALLY. IT LOOKS LIKE MAYBE THEY MIGHT HAVE HAD A PROFESSIONAL PLANNER IN THESE CREATIONS. DID YOU GET ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THE
    ARTIST?

We did not, and there were no people around the day we went by.
