Saturday in Seattle

supposedly was the prettiest day of the year in Seattle and people were out in droves, at parks, shopping and downtown. We started our day at Pikes Market where we had a great breakfast, with a great view.

After breakfast we walkedthe market taking in all the sights. The fish, vegetable, fruit and flower stalls are amazing.

Then we walked around lookingn shops before walking down to the pier. They are working on a huge sea wall project which will not be finished until 2017, so you had some slight detours.

It was a beautiful day, so we took a harbor cruise to see the sights from the water.

Afterwards we walked back to our hotel  enjoying the many planters with great garden combos and beautiful cherry trees in bloom.

for a little down time before heading out to dinner with more Arkansas friends.

Seattle is such a great ‘green’ city.
