Windsor Castle

Our last day in the UK was a drizzly one. It never rained hard but it misted off and on which made for damp walking. Luckily for us much of what we did was inside Windsor Castle. We cued up after breakfast for the gates to open. We were the second group through the gates, so there were not huge crowds. The fact that there were no photos inside, also kept photos to a minimum today.we toured the public areas of the castle, but some of us paid a little extra for a behind the scenes kitchen tour, which was fascinating. It is hard to imagine a life like this.Folks could stay as long as they liked and then we were free to explore the town on our own, pack and rest before we go to our farewell dinner tonight. Some of us crossed the Thames, saw rowers, lawn bowling and two wedding parties, plus Eton College and had a lovely lunch overlooking the Thames.

Tomorrow 15 of us head home while 20 stay for more adventures.
