Home and gone again to County 76 Retreat
If all my air travel could be like yesterday, it would be heaven. Both coming and going to DC our flights were on time, we were TSA pre-approved, we had priority boarding and we had exit row seats on 3 out of 4 flights, plus our luggage all arrived. It was great. I made it home late afternoon, got unpacked, laundry done and plants watered, then repacked for our County 76 retreat today. It was good to have a night in my own bed.
This morning the executive board met in the morning and were joined after lunch by the rest of the County 76 board for our annual retreat. We have done some good planning, set dates and got a lot accomplished.
We worked hard until dinner time. Tonight we continued to work, but in a fun way. A MG-themed Scattergory game gave us a lot of really clever ideas for our MG program. One of our members is taking all the ideas home and typing them up. We will share at our next meeting. This was a great way of learning and doing, while laughing and learning more about each other.
Everyone got prizes, because everyone was a winner, some just more than others! Tomorrow we come together for another half-day of program planning. We will head home after lunch. I am blessed by wonderful volunteers.
