Mt. Home and Berryville

March 22, 2017

We have had another rollercoaster of weather. We sweltered in our house Monday night not wanting to turn on the air conditioning in mid-March and were wearing coats today. Tomorrow promises to be another warm day, so who knows what to expect.

Yesterday we had a great group of MG trainees from Baxter, Boone, and Marion Counties. The Baxter county MG project outside the fairgrounds building was a sea of color with loads of daffodil varieties. They are a bit behind us in Little Rock.

There were storms overnight and today was quite cold. We saw some great new varieties of plants out and about in Berryville.

They had the new Valentine red bleeding heart. “

I also found a new spagnum peat pot liner that is supposed to expand and last longer than the other fiber liners.

I can’t wait to see how they do.

I am in the gardening mood, but want this weather to decide what it wants to do.
