In like a lion- how does that saying go?

March 13, 2019
by

The old saying I have heard goes “in like a lion, out like lamb”- referring to March weather. Weather has been like a lion at times this March. I’ll be glad when the calm beauty arrives toward the end of the month.

Spring is coming along in the way of some blooms in central Arkansas. Tulip leaves have peaked out of the ground, saucer magnolia trees are putting on a show along with a few other plants.

I can tell it is springtime by the number of upcoming event emails received. Several event flyers were sent to our office today. Gardening events are happening across the state in March and April along with Master Gardener Plant Sales.

The 2019 Arkansas Master Gardener Conference held at Hempstead Hall in Hope has reached over 400. The Miller County Post Conference Landscape Tour is full. Early conference registration fee of $50.00 ends Friday, March 15. If you have not registered, do so soon!
